At Mums of Steel we provide bring your baby group fitness classes. All of our instructors understand the needs of new mums and our classes are specifically designed to provide our mums with all the support and positive energy they need. The best part is we offer excellent value with classes costing between just £3-£5 depending on location.

Our foundation lies in having a team of instructors who are fully ante post natal qualified making all of our mums stay safe in sessions and get educated on appropriate exercise advice. STROLLER FITNESS
Get some fresh air while you get fit! The best part is baby gets the best seat in the house warm and cosy in the pram. This is a one hour class that intermixes walking, resistance exercises and mummy tummy toning all in one great class. Meet other mums, have fun and get fit.
We will be back outdoors as soon as its allowed in the meantime join me online:
Tuesdays 10am - Online Body Conditioning
Due to the current pandemic we are keeping all of our mums & babies safe! Part of this means ensuring every mum gets their own physio band to exercise with and keep. You need to purchase our starter pack in order that you instructor will have a band for you on our first session so please remember to do this.
BRING BABY YOGA
Bring baby to lay on a mat beside you while you lengthen, strengthen and relieve your mind of stress. This is a postnatal specific Hatha Yoga class and is one hour long. It finishes with a lovely bit of relaxation at the end. A class designed to help you restore and heal.

Due to the current pandemic to keep everyone safe and healthy you will need to bring your own yoga mat along with something for baby to lay on beside you.
BOXING FITNESS
Join us and get fighting fit. This boxing based class will get your heart rate up and help you to de stress at the same time. We use real mitts and boxing pads to do different drills to tone up. Of course no class is complete without our famous mummy tummy toning at the end. A super high energy and fun class.
This class is not currently on offer due to social distancing guidelines, but we hope the world will change for the better and we will be back on soon.
PRIVATE SMALL GROUP
Are you part of an NCT group or do you and your mummy friends want a session that works at a time for you? We offer small group sessions that would be exclusive to just your friends. A group of 5-10 mums is all you need to get going. Contact us for details regarding price and availability.
We are happy to order physio bands for your group so we may need a weeks lead up time for your first session. Please keep this in mind.

We understand that sometimes things are more fun with your friends around. That is why we offer buddy personal training. It means you get to share the experience and the cost with friends. You will still be pushed hard to increase your fitness and we recommend that everyone has similar goals and fitness levels to get the most out of these sessions. Grab your friends and book today.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Mums of Steel?
An exercise company that gets mums and babies to enjoy the benefits of exercise together. Classes are taught by qualified post natal instructors and are fun for both mums and babies. It brings mums to a great social environment while still able to bond with baby and get fit!
What Kind of Exercise is it?
We have 5 different types of classes. Each one offers a different atmosphere. All classes have some fundamentals in common including:
During each class students are burning calories and toning up.
Specific exercises focus on stomach muscles and pelvic floor work to suit the needs of the post partum mum.
Classes are available for all levels of fitness.
Mums of Steel instructors encourage you to do your best and work at your own fitness level.
All mums must have approval from their midwife or doctor and be at least 6 weeks post natal for a natural birth or 10 weeks post c section to participate.
How old should my baby be?
Babies need to be at least 6 weeks old and up. If you have had a C-Section you should be 10 weeks post natal. We accept children up to 5 years old. For our outdoor classes where a stroller is involved you will need to make sure baby is content to sit in a stroller for at least an hour. You will need to ensure that the baby has proper neck support if required. For our indoor classes be sure to bring a blanket to lay baby on and for toddlers a favourite toy to keep them busy.
What if my baby gets fussy or cries?
Your baby is your first priority. The beauty of Mums of Steel classes is we are aware of the situation of mums with babies and understand they can become fussy from time to time. We embrace the challenges and celebrate the support that this group environment can provide. If your baby becomes fussy you are encouraged to take your time and soothe your baby. Do not worry about disturbing other class mates we are all mums in the same boat.
Does it run in any weather?
One thing we can never control is the weather. For outdoor classes we will teach during cloud, wind and rain. Remember we go rain or shine. If the weather is extremely bad and the MET office has issued an official weather warning the class maybe cancelled. Please call Mums of Steel prior to your class to see if it has been cancelled. Keep in mind that during not so nice days you should ensure you and baby are bundled up and there is a wind/rain protector for your pram.
What should I bring to class?
For indoor classes please make sure you bring a mat or towel to lie on, water bottle and sweat towel. You must purchase a starter pack so we can provide you with an exercise band on your first session. We recommend you bring all of the usual necessities for your baby that you would normally take when going for a walk with your pram. For outdoor classes we recommend that you additionally bring sunscreen, a hat, extra layer of clothing for both you and baby. As well you will need a towel or mat in order to do some work on the grass. Please be aware that if you have any questions regarding this to give us a call.
